Yves Perréard

Born in 1959, Yves Perréard is a founding Partner of PPI SA.
At PPI his role is to oversee the investment process for PPI’s alpha products. In addition he chairs the Board of Directors of PPI SA.
Prior to PPI, Yves Perréard worked for well over two decades for the leading Swiss bank UBS. He started his career with a banking apprenticeship. After successful completion he joined UBS’ foreign exchange department and worked in various back office functions. In 1980 he started to trade spot foreign exchange and due to his skill and personality swiftly moved on to become chief dealer spot foreign exchange. During 1986 Yves Perréard was promoted to head dealer spot foreign exchange at UBS New York. From 1987 to 1988 Yves Perréard moved to Renault Finance SA in Lausanne where he was head of currency dealings. In 1989 he was promoted to head of currency products for UBS Zurich. In 1994 Yves Perréard was transferred from head office to UBS London in order to run the foreign exchange floor in London. Three years later he was put in charge of all foreign exchange trading and sales for UBS time zone Europe. In this function he oversaw all of the bank’s efforts in currency dealing. In addition he was responsible world wide for all spot market making for UBS. Yves Perréard left UBS in Summer of 1998 as a Senior Vice President as a result of the merger between UBS and SBC. In Autumn 1998 he founded PPI SA in Geneva.
In 2000 Yves Perréard took part in the INSEAD AVIRA program and in 2002 participated in an INSEAD-Wharton module on ‘Leading the Effective Sales Force’. Yves Perréard has worked in senior management positions all over the world. He has lived in London, Chicago, New York and Zurich and is a Swiss as well as British citizen.
